Inceptum Insurance Company Limited (“Inceptum”) [formerly HSBC Insurance (UK) Limited] was incorporated in England & Wales in 1998 and is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority. Inceptum was placed into run-off in September 2009 and acquired by Syndicate Holding Corp. (“SHC”) on 30 September 2011.

Following the acquisition of Inceptum by Randall & Quilter II Holdings Limited, a wholly owned UK subsidiary of R&Q Insurance Holdings Ltd (“R&Q”), on 31 December 2020, the ongoing administration and management of all of Inceptum’ s business will be handled by R&Q Central Services Limited (“RQCS”), the UK services division of R&Q.
