  • Group General Counsel with a role that covers the varied legal aspects of the Group across both its operational and geographic spread, including:
    • insurance outsourcing – external and intra group
    • corporate
    • acquisitions
    • Lloyd’s Managing Agency, MGAs and turnkey operations
    • dispute resolution
    • transfers
  • Has over 25 years experience as a solicitor in the Insurance sector.
  • Moved from Cameron McKenna in 1997 to the largest non-life UK insurance insolvency of its time, the KWELM companies, where he managed the legal aspects of those companies (UK and US) and their service companies.
  • Was also closely engaged with all aspects of the KWELM closing scheme of arrangement and others that produced significant returns for creditors.
  • A founding member of the KMS Group management buy out which business was acquired by R&Q in 2008.
  • Has a wide experience of insurance claims, arbitrations and litigation across a number of jurisdictions, and has overseen the successful realisation of extensive reinsurance programmes.
  • Previously engaged in developing and implementing solvent schemes and advising on finality solutions, including the sale and purchase of insurance portfolios and distressed reinsurance debt.
