Ken Randall

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer (UK)

Ken Randall is a certified accountant and has worked in the insurance industry for more than 30 years. During the early 1980s, Ken was Head of Regulation at Lloyd’s, after which he spent seven years as chief executive of the Merrett Group, which managed a number of high profile syndicates at Lloyd’s.

Ken went into partnership with Alan Quilter in 1992 and built up Eastgate, which became the UK’s largest third party provider of insurance services with 1,300 employees and a turnover of over £80m. Eastgate was eventually sold to Capita plc in November 2000. At the same time, Ken headed up the purchase of run-off portfolios, predominantly for Dukes Place, a private equity firm.

Following the sale of Eastgate and the termination of the agreement with Dukes Place, Ken remained as CEO of the R&Q group and shifted the focus onto buying legacy portfolios and rebuilding the Group’s service capabilities in the UK.

In 2007, Ken presided over the Group’s admission to London’s AIM market and the IPO which raised over £30m from institutional investors. Ken remains as Chairman and CEO of the Group.
